Weddings Begin and End with Jewelry 

I suppose it could be said that a wedding begins with jewelry. The moment a man places a diamond on his girlfriend's finger he and she become a bride and groom in waiting. That diamond makes the request to marry and its acceptance tangible. And, oh the delight for brides flashing their diamond around among friends and family as they all rejoice at the prospects of a new marriage and the fulfillment it promises. 

As wedding plans progress there is the purchase of wedding rings. Then the jewelry the bride wears from day to day may not prove adequate to the wedding plans, so the purchase of new wedding adornments is in order. 

Weddings are Sealed by Jewelry

Finally, the wedding rings in place and the marriage declaration made, and the wedding is sealed with a kiss.
