DEAF SIGN LANGUAGE WEDDING CEREMONY

This ceremony has been designed with words that are easily transferred  into sign language.

WELCOME 

Welcome family and friends on this beautiful evening. As a community of family and friends, we are here to celebrate and bless the marriage of (Bride) and (Groom).  (Bride) and (Groom) are honoured to have you here with them and want to thank you for coming. Marriage is a coming together, the joining of two people, two hearts. Marriage is love. May you always be blessed in your hearts with the wonder of this special day. May you always talk together, share together, laugh together and enjoy life together.

TO COUPLE

(Bride) and (Groom), the moment you have waited for and planned for is here. Your family and friends have come together to witness your exchange of vows. We are thankful for the gift of life, for family and friends and for the love you share together. May you love each other and offer love and support to those around you.

TO GUESTS

We are here to support (Bride) and (Groom) as they enter into marriage today. If anyone knows a reason why they may not lawfully be wed, let them declare the reason now or forever hold their peace.

We are called to rejoice in the happiness of (Bride) and (Groom) and to help them when necessary to grow in the joy and love they share on this new journey that begins today.

(Vows inserted in Officiant’s book upside down so the binder can be slanted toward each displaying text right side up for them so they can read them and sign them to each other.)

The rings are a symbol of a never-ending love. They are a circle that never ends. They are a sign of the love that unites your two hearts. When you look at these rings, (Bride) and (Groom), may you always remember your marriage vows and the love you share.
